Pro Socialized Health Care Talking Points

President Obama’s grassroots arm called Organizing for America is sponsoring a rally in Austin on the South steps of the Texas Capitol. They hope to have a huge turnout to raise support for the planned government takeover of health care. We need to outnumber them, and we can easily do it!

Bring your friends and your protest signs. All signs need to be about the healthcare issue. Please keep things civil and respectful – don’t take away from our message with crass signs, logos, or slogans. Our message to Congress stands strong on its own: Hands Off My Healthcare!

Having said that, we also don’t ask that individuals hide their concerns, anger, or frustration that Congress isn’t willing to live under the laws they pass for the rest of us.

In Austin, Congressman Doggett got an earful from a group of Texans who are fed up with the government trying to take over health care and ruin it. He complained that people not from his district were there (guess we don’t have 1st amendment rights). Congressman Doggett also accused the protesters of being part of an organized effort by the Republican and Libertarian parties. I guess only the Democrats can have a real grassroots movement according to the congressman’s “logic”.
