SATP Exec Committee Adds New Member

The San Antonio Tea Party Board of Directors recently voted to add Allen Tharp to the Executive Committee in the position of Senior Vice President. Mr. Tharp will join other Executive Committee members—George Rodriguez as President, Sharon Hall as Secretary, and Ray Wilkinson as Treasurer—in running the day-to-day operations of the SATP.
Mr. Tharp’s background is impressive, having worked for over 25 years with the restaurant industry. Within that group, he has served as a liaison for Government and Legislative Affairs, as a speaker at various restaurant industry conferences, and is an active member of the President’s forum. With a B.A. in political science, he is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of a company in San Antonio, as well as a minority partner in a chain of quick-service chicken restaurants called Golden Fried Chick. It is noteworthy that his endeavors provide over 800 local jobs to San Antonians and pump almost thirty million dollars into the local economy annually.
Mr. Tharp is a long-time friend of the SATP and we welcome him to this significant leadership role!

Happy to have Mr. Tharp on board. He has a fine background and is certainly a contributing member to our city. Having recently had a meal in the Panda Express, I was very pleased to see a large posted notice that the company uses E verifying to check each employee. I would like to know if Mr. Tharp’s company does so and of it does they should be very pleased to inform the public.
