Since Thursday’s issue, the Express-News has slammed Governor Perry daily. Altho I’ve been disappointed in some of Perry’s political stands, I think the E-N is clearly biased against the conservative candidate.
Lillian makes good mention of the previous taxes and of course healthcare has been attacked by government long before ‘Obamacare’.
I just wanted to say that I will never vote for Perry. He is a Democrat turned Republican politician that plays politics instead of applying principle.
- The Texas budget doubled while he was in office.
- He has broken transportation in Texas to help special interest groups. (toll roads / Trans Texas Corridor)
- Related to the TCC he was willing to abuse eminent domain to steal private property
- He helped sell of public infrastructure to foreign companies
- He championed a corrupting Emerging Technologies Fund that legally allows him to give money to business friends.
- He helped create the margins tax on businesses that is effectively an income tax and is currently being challenged.
- He was for the bill that forces girls to take a vaccine against the wishes of the family. (which just so happens to support a drug company that makes the vaccine which isn’t even the best one for the task)
- He was dishonest in his supposed fight against federal power and the TSA. He played politics to kill the anti groping bill.
- He will tout creating jobs but the unemployment rate has stayed the same. Just because other states are doing so poorly that people flee them, it does not mean we aren’t headed down the same path!

The man is a slick a politician as they come. All he wants now is federal power in his climb up to the top on the backs of citizens. He is as dangerous as any liberal because he is one when it is politically convenient.
I like Perry’s Texas drawl, but I agree with you about him. He didn’t help us with the illegal immigration bills and he is super pro-business to the point of pushing NAFTA. There you have it, I am supporting both Bachmann and Sanitorium for the time being.
Agreed. We need to get the word “opportunist” out about Perry.
Its was brought to my attention a few facts regarding Obamas latest birth certificate:
1)Supposedly in 1961 they listed his fathers place of origin as Kenya. (fact: Kenya was established in 1963)
2)Supposedly they list the birth hospital as Kapiolani.
( fact: Kapiolani was established in 1978)
3)They list his race as African- American. ( fact: the term African – American was started in 1987 by a poet)

Warning! Rant ahead.
I am sick of people who would give up their freedom and rights for a little so called safety. I am sick of office holders who push aside our constitution for the sake of their own purpose. If they don’t respect the constitution, then they should be removed from office and given a one way ticket to another country of their choice.
The constitution is our law and so much blood was shed to attain it. That should mean something to the American people. The problem is that so many people in this country don’t care because they aren’t really Americans. This country is being overrun with people who no nothing of our history and don’t care. They just want a piece of our pie. Our people fought and died for this country and our freedoms and we just allow others to come in an walk over their dead bodies on their way to the welfare line. We need to wake up and turn the tv off, put down the cell phone, get on our knees and (dare I say it) pray to God for His help to get this country back to where it needs to be for, without Him, we cannot stand.
Well stated and I agree completely except the part where we give them a ticket to a country of their choice. Slacker, left wing NON Americans have been given way too much already.
I think we should send them on as many Chinese Communist ships (Made in China ships), as needed, to anywhere as long as it isn’t near the USA.

I would love to know why no one, anywhere, is mentioning the mdeicare tax that was put upon America in 1986. It was called the medicare deficit tax. If you were in a job and moved to a new one, it was added as a new tax. I think at the time it was 1/16th of your gross.
So working people received a new tax to help out medicare.
Rather the Baby Boomers were the ones to take it on. Now the entitlement programs did not get the new tax. It is just amazing how no one is mentioning this when discussing the medicare cuts. WHERE IS THE MONEY????
